'The conjuring 2'
Horror Trailer:
The trailer begins with a long shot of a table and three people sat around it. There is a vicar who is sat with them and they are listening to a recording of someone talking. The person talking sounds old and sounds scary. This suggests that the person is haunting the house and the vicar is there to try and find out who the person is and why they are there haunting this innocent family. This conforms to the expectations of an opening scene of a horror trailer because it makes the audience intrigued and makes them want to know what the ghost is doing to them and who it is. The vicar then goes on to explain that the voice is coming from an 11 year old girl. A medium shot is used as the couple look at each other which shocked expressions.
The scene changes to a long shot of a busy street and zooms into a close up of a paper which has the title on the front "The house of strange happenings" the non diegetic dialogue sounds like a news reader explaining whats happened and that the family need help. "the things in which we have seen, nothing rattles either of us anymore" this suggests that the familly have been through so much and has been a very long and terrifiying journey. "but this one, this one still haunts me" this suggests that it has gotten so bad that they need professional help and they need to get out of the house immediately.
A close up of a young girl is shown and the mother asks if the voice is coming from inside her and she explains it sounds like its coming from behind her. This suggests that this has never happened before and that they are all very scared. The scene then changes to a room full of people. "Janet are you alright" the young girls voice goes deep, like the recording "STOP CALLING ME JANET" and all the light go out. A close up is then used as the girl smiles and laughs. A long shot is then used as the mother begins to cry. The scene then changes "shes such a good girl what does i want with her?" The scene changes again to the girl in a different room and all the crosses on the wall begin to turn. A lady then describes that the thing inside her wants her to do something bad, either murder, suicide or both. All of the crosses turn and something jumps out of the wall, this scaring the audience.
"You believe us don't you?" "i do not sense anything" this suggests that the horrible thing inside there daughter has a hidden identity. "All i can sense is fear" this suggests that they are scared of something that maybe is not there? "MUM MUM THERE'S SOMETHING IN HERE" "I CAN'T OPEN IT" the scene changes very dramatically as the girl is stuck inside her room with something evil and they can't get to her. The scene then changes to a church singing on TV this is suggesting someones death.
