The Hurt Locker Trailer: (Action Genre)

The Hurt Locker Trailer:

The scene is shown to be set in the war, in a hot country. The men are all wearing army gear, they all look very hot but it is suggested that they are use to it. The surroundings in which the film is set in is also suggested to be a good place for an action film because the most action happens in the war and it might also make people appreciate what people go through who are fighting for us. "Whats he doing" this is said as one of the men takes of his helmet and coat and replies "if i'm gunna die, i wanna die comfortable" this suggests that the man has no fear, this conforms our expectations of the main character of an actions movie because they are shown as superior.

Shot reverse shot is shown as two men are talking. "How many bombs have you disarmed?" The main man replies "873" and the other man replies "you're a wild man, you know that?" this suggests that he is non stoppable and is not scared of anything. This would stand out to a male audience who would look up to this character and want to be like him. This could also stand out to a female audience because they would want to be with a man like him so he can protect them. Lots of explosions begin to happen, this conforms to our expectations of actions films and adds a lot of tension and adventure. Upbeat music always happens as the man is disarming the bombs, this adds a lot of tension and makes the audience think that one day he is not going to do it in time and he is going to die. This will also encourage the audience to go and see it because it is like a type of adrenaline

A medium shot of two men sat on the table going through a box is shown and the man explains that it is all the stuff that almost killed him. The man pulls out a ring and asks what is that? he jokingly says "i said things that almost killed me" this suggests that there is also a comical side to the film and that it is a good film to go and watch. This will especially stand out to a male audience because of all the action and jokes about women.
