magazine cover - Vogue:

Magazine analysis

(Vogue):

The background to this magazine is very basic, the grey colour suggests that the front cover of this magazine is very sophisticated and stands out to an older audience. This is suggested because the magazine doesn't need to have lots of different images of different famous people to draw an older audience into the magazine. Although this is the case a very popular artist is on the front of the magazine, therefore meaning the magazine will have a wide audience drawn into the front cover. Beyoncé is also looking very sophisticated herself, this could suggest the magazine would link to a female audience because they want to find out about her fashion and how she comes out with different styles each day.

The magazine 'Vogue' in itself is a very popular magazine which is generally read by a female audience, this is because it is a fashion magazine and has the latest fashions inside. A female audience also believe they have expectations to live up to and this could suggest that vogue will give them different ideas on how to dress and different styles on fashion which could link to clothing, hair or make up. This could have a negative effect on a female audience as they will be comparing themselves to how they should look, when in reality they should dress the way they believe makes them feel comfortable, but this is very difficult in society today.

The title of the magazine 'vogue' is slightly hidden behind the models head, although this is the case it is very clear to what the magazine is called and this is a very well known title so a lot of people will know what the magazine is and what it involves. The font colour is also written in a white colour, showing that is stands out from the grey background. The font size is also very thin and in capital letters, this again makes the magazine cover look very sophisticated.

'Queen B Beyoncé rules the world' this is linking to one of her famous songs which would appeal to fans of Beyoncé and would encourage them to read the magazine. It also suggests that women are independent and this could draw in women who believe in equality. The rest of the font is mainly in white, this again stands out from the background and gives an insight to what could be inside the magazine which again would encourage the audience to read the magazine.
